The Athena v3 is Atlas Gunworks’ purpose-built high-capacity 9mm designed around factory ammunition, with a red-dot-ready slide and configuration options for both competition and duty. Its 4.6-inch bull barrel splits the difference between the 5-inch Titan and the 4.25-inch carry guns, which is why it is the Atlas most often described as a “tactical” or duty 2011.
It runs the full v3 Perfect Zero feature set — Vermont-machined billet slide, v3 optics plate, Glock-style front sight, patent-pending angled grip bushings, 19 lb mainspring and a 9 lb recoil spring — and weighs 37.28 oz empty. Who the Athena v3 is for
Shooters who want one 2011 for duty-style carry, Limited Optics or Carry Optics-style matches and the range. It gives up a little sight radius to the Titan v3 and a little weight savings to the Nyx v3, and the ported Apollo v3 is built on the same 4.6-inch footprint.

Both are 4.6-inch v3 pistols. The Athena has a plain bull barrel for duty and competition use; the Apollo adds porting and borrows the Erebus’s performance features for an all-out competition gun.
Is the Athena v3 optics-ready?
Yes. The slide is cut for the v3 plate system and ships with the plate of your choice; the Glock-style front sight means you can run a dot, irons or both.
