Cajun Gun and Gear is a locally owned gun shop in Lafayette, Louisiana, serving Acadiana in store and customers across the country online.
Our story
I have been fascinated by knives since I was a kid. When I got a little older, guns became part of that interest as well.
Fast forward to 2013: I had a successful career in finance, but it just didn't do it for me anymore. I opened my first shop in Lafayette, LA, specializing in custom guns (specifically 1911s) and knives. As the business grew, I focused on the gun side more and more.
In 2021, I changed the name of the shop to Cajun Gun and Gear and opened a second location in Katy, TX not long after. In 2024, our knife business grew into a site of its own, Cajun Knife and Gear, specializing in higher end and custom knives.
What we do
We carry new and used firearms, NFA items, optics, ammunition, gun parts and gear. In the shop we also handle FFL transfers, basic gunsmithing, engraving and fingerprinting. See our services for details.
I hope that we have exactly what you are looking for. If not, please reach out and we will do our best to help you find it.
