Miller Precision Ranger 9C

The Ranger 9C is Miller Precision’s compact 2011 — 4.4 inches overall barrel length, night sights and a tactical magwell — and the one Ranger that ships with a functional grip safety, which makes it the natural pick for duty or everyday carry. The linkless barrel comes standard, threaded or V-Ported, and because it is linkless you can swap between them yourself.

Everything else is pure Ranger: patent-pending Easy Adjust trigger, patent-pending reversible magazine release, ambidextrous slide stop and thumb safeties, external extractor and Miller’s optic-plate system with co-witness irons. It ships with two Atlas Gunworks magazines (dealers list the compact Rangers with 15-round mags).

Who the Ranger 9C is for

Carry and duty shooters who want a full-grip compact 2011 with a working grip safety and night sights. The Ranger 9Ci is the same size with a ported island barrel, and the Ranger 9SC shortens both the slide and the grip for concealment.

Yes. The 9C is the only Ranger 9 model that ships with a functional grip safety; the others are pinned.

What is a V-Port barrel?

Miller’s ported-barrel option for the 9C and 9SC: V-shaped ports near the muzzle vent gas upward to reduce muzzle rise without a compensator.

Can I add a threaded or ported barrel later?

Yes. Because the Ranger barrel is linkless, owners can swap to a threaded or V-Port barrel without a gunsmith.

Does the 9C come with night sights?

Yes, night sights are standard on the 9C and 9SC, and the slide still accepts Miller’s optic plates with co-witness irons.

Miller Precision backs the Ranger 9 with a lifetime warranty against defects in material and craftsmanship, and it applies to new and used pistols. Reloaded or remanufactured ammunition, misuse and unauthorized modification are excluded.
