Firearms purchased on our website ship only to a licensed FFL dealer. We are also happy to receive transfers at our Lafayette store for firearms you buy elsewhere.
Buying a firearm from us online
All firearms, magazines, receivers and restricted law enforcement items are sold and shipped in accordance with all existing federal, state and local laws and regulations. Firearms are shipped only to licensed FFL dealers.
How it works
- Add the firearm to your cart and go to checkout.
- Enter your email address to start checkout.
- In the shipping step, choose the licensed FFL dealer you want your firearm shipped to.
- Complete your payment. We ship the firearm to the dealer you chose.
- Pick up your firearm from that dealer, who will complete the transfer with you. Your dealer may charge its own transfer fee.
Many of the firearms, magazines and parts for sale on this website may be restricted or prohibited in your area. Please check your local and state regulations before ordering. If you have questions about having a firearm shipped to a dealer near you, please contact us before you order.
Transfers to our store
We are happy to help you with your FFL transfer. If you are purchasing a new firearm, please consider us first, as we can typically offer a better price than what you pay when you add shipping and transfer fees, and your money stays local. If you are purchasing a used firearm or a firearm we are unable to provide, please see the details below.
Transfer fees
- Standard transfer: $35 for all firearms
- Rush transfer: $75
Transfers are handled as received, and you will be contacted when your item is ready for pickup. The typical turnaround is 24 hours after receipt. Rush transfers still require 24 hours from arrival.
Transfer form
You must complete our transfer form. Until we have this information, we will not be able to transfer the firearm. We frequently receive firearms with no information included, and this form is the only way we can keep track of yours.
We rarely receive shipping notifications from sellers, so we recommend that you keep in contact with your seller and send us the tracking number once you receive it.
GunBroker purchases
If you made your purchase on GunBroker, please use the GunBroker checkout and select us as the receiving FFL.
Palmetto State Armory
Effective 12/15/2023, we no longer accept transfers from Palmetto State Armory.
Pickup and storage
Please plan to pick up your item within 30 days of its arrival. We charge a $10 per month storage fee starting after 30 days. If your item has not been picked up within 6 months, it will be sold, and our costs for storage and selling will be deducted from the sale price.
