Blackout Dynamics Rifles
Blackout Dynamics (formerly Blackout Defense) builds the Quantum DTL-X AR-15 in Chandler, Arizona. Every rifle is built around the company’s patented Dual Taper Lock barrel mounting system and the Helix gas regulating barrel, which lets you tune gas for suppressed or unsuppressed shooting without tools. Each one carries a 1 MOA accuracy guarantee, is test fired before it ships, and is covered by a lifetime warranty on manufacturing.
Standard on every Quantum DTL-X: a lapped, 5R-rifled 416R stainless barrel in polished cryo, a Zero 3 lb flat trigger with a short reset, an ambidextrous lower with ambi bolt and magazine releases, a 45/90 ambi safety, a Stryker gas-deflecting ambi charging handle, and an M-LOK handguard with a full-length Picatinny top rail.

What is the Quantum DTL-X?

What is the Dual Taper Lock?
Two tapers, one on the barrel extension and one on the barrel, each mate with their own barrel nut. That centers the barrel in the upper and locks the chamber in place for consistent accuracy.

We stock the Quantum DTL-X in .223 Wylde (14.5-inch pinned and welded rifles and 11.5-inch SBRs) and .300 Blackout (9-inch SBRs).
